There’s nothing like a good pandemic to make you seriously think about life and death in ways you haven’t before—forcing you to come to grips with the fact that your very life is uncertain. Including what happens after you die! Followers of Jesus (Christians) do not have different experiences in life than non-Christians (we still experience sickness, suffering, and death), but we do experience life and death differently. Birth and death take place a total of 3 times in every person’s life. 1. Every human being is born/conceived/created once. 2. Every human being dies once. 3. You get to choose which of those two you’ll do a second time. Born once, die twice. Born twice, die once.
