If you really want to connect at Wawasee Bible, get plugged in to a Life Group! Sign ups happen every August and January, but you can contact the Church Office or stop by the Connect Desk on a Sunday morning to get connected any time.
What is a Life Group?
Life Groups are small groups that meet weekly or bi-weekly, often in people’s homes for relationship, studying God’s Word, and mission.
We All Need Friends, and our hope is to see everyone at Wawasee connected in meaningful relationship to other believers and to the Word of God.
Colossians 1:9-10 expresses our hope well, where Paul tells the church in Colossae that he prays for them, “asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”
That’s our aim. We don’t want you to just show up (Gather), we want you to grow up (Grow) into who Jesus created you to be.
There are two primary times that we grow…
1. Moments where we NEED TO KNOW.
2. Moments where we NEED TO GROW.
You need two key ingredients for spiritual growth in these moments…
1. GOD’S WORD.
2. Other CHRISTIANS.

Connect with Friends
Each week, we’ll learn how to take care of one another as Christ commanded (see John 15:9-13). This care will take many forms, such as praying, listening, meeting needs, and encouraging and even challenging one another as needed. If you’re new, it may take some time to get acquainted, but over time relationships will grow deeper as your group feels safer and more comfortable.
Study God's Word
Life Groups are sermon-based. Each week we’ll study a portion of God’s Word that relates to the previous weekend’s sermon. Our goal is to learn how to apply and live out our Christianity in our day-to-day experiences and relationships.
Sent to Love
A couple times a year, each Life Group participates in some type of missional service together. This might be within Wawasee Bible or in our community. Our Life Groups live out our mission: We are sent to love people, and invite them to follow Jesus with us!
And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
