Jesus loves children and so do we!
At Wawasee Bible we love kids! Each Sunday morning we provide a safe and fun place where your children will learn about and experience the love of Jesus. Our pre-screened and trained volunteers are committed to the safety and care of your kids so you can freely participate in the Worship Service. Kids 3 and Under
At Wawasee Bible we provide childcare during all of our Sunday Worship Services for young children ages 3 down. Keep reading to learn what we offer for each age group.
Infants & 1 Year OldsOur volunteers are focused on the comfort and safety of your little ones while you participate in the worship service.
Nursing Mothers’ Room
Our Nursing Mothers’ Room is located immediately next to our Nursery in the Kids’ Wing. There are glider rockers, the lights are dimmable, and a live video feed of the service is available so moms can still participate in the worship service. The room also connects directly to the women’s restroom where there is another lounge area and changing table.
It is available to be used at any time by mothers of newborns. A nursing mom may choose to check her baby into the Nursery and get paged to come get them when they need fed, or they are welcome to bring their little one into the service with them, and leave to use the Nursing Mother’s Room at any time.
Twos & Threes
2 and 3 year olds will enjoy free playtime, singing & dancing, a brief Bible lesson and a snack.
PreK to Grade 4
Wawasee Kids is for kids aged PreK through Grade 4 and takes place during our Sunday morning Worship Services. The programming is identical for all services each weekend.
Wawasee Kids is available most Sunday mornings at Wawasee Bible.
A few times a year we give our Ministry Partners a break, and Kids aged 4 and up join the regular Worship Service with their families.

What Happens
at Wawasee Kids?
We’re glad you asked!
Week to week things will vary a bit, but below are a few of the things you can count on every Sunday.
Large Group Teaching
We’ll make sure kids know they’re loved by Jesus and can trust him no matter what. Because Jesus loves us, we should love others and learn to always make wise choices.
Small Group Community
In their small group, trained Kids’ Ministry Leaders will help them dig deeper into the truths they learn that morning through discussion, age-appropriate activities, Scripture exploration, and prayer. In addition, kids will learn to care for each other and live in community with others from a young age.
Musical Worship
Each week kids will spend time in age-appropriate musical worship.
The music is always about Jesus. We sing to him and learn Scripture through song.
Fun!
Our God is good Father who loves his kids. We want to communicate that in every way we can so that children grow up to know and love Jesus, because he first loved us!
How Does Wawasee Kids Work?
Age-Based
Wawasee Kids is divided into two primary groups, Pre-K and Kindergarten and Grades 1 thru 4. These age-divisions are made with child-development in mind. Scroll down to see what happens at each age division.
Vertically Aligned
The curriculum we use is vertically aligned. What this means is that kids in each age group will be learning the same core truths each week, tailored to best serve that particular age group.
In addition, that means that at home during the week, families can have unified discussion and study with their kids of multiple ages.
Age 3 & Under
- Infants & 1 Year Olds – Our volunteers are focused on the comfort and safety of your little ones while you participate in the worship service.
- Nursing Mothers’ Room – Our Nursing Mothers’ Room is located immediately next to our Nursery and connects to the women’s restroom where there is another lounge and changing table. The room is equipped with a live video feed of the service, glider rockers, and dimmable lighting.
- Two’s & Three’s – 2 and 3 year olds will enjoy free playtime, singing & dancing, a brief Bible lesson and a snack.
PreK to Kindergarten
- Kids enjoy musical worship, a Bible lesson, a variety of hands-on activities and a snack.
- Kids meet together in a large room with a variety of age-appropriate toys, furniture, and activities.
- Each week you’ll receive communication about what was taught along with tips to help you have simple and meaningful faith moments with your kids throughout the week that will fit seamlessly into the daily rhythm of your life. Grades 1 to 4
- Kids participate in large-group activities, musical worship, and biblical teaching.
- Kids break into Small Groups (by age/grade) to spend time getting to know each other better and dig deeper into the truths they’re learning through discussion and activities.
